The Associate Director is responsible for the fundraising and engagement of Wharton School graduate alumni in assigned alumni and reunion classes. Frequent travel is expected to visit assigned alumni since the position is one of the key fundraisers for that alumni population. The position will contribute to achieving annual Wharton Fund cash and participation goals annually. The successful candidate will be responsible for management of alumni and reunion volunteers who conduct peer to peer solicitation among their classmates. The position will manage these volunteers through every step of their fundraising tasks.
Reporting to the Director of Major Gifts, the Associate Director/ Sr. Associate Director, Major Gifts will manage his/her own regional portfolio of major gift prospects and donors. The person in this position will identify, cultivate, solicit and steward prospects and donors capable of making gifts of $250,000 or more to University priorities. The position will also devise, often in collaboration with other University colleagues, fundraising strategies and cultivation/stewardship events and programs in their region.
