Reporting to the Senior Director of Development for Biomedical Research, the Associate Director of Development for Biomedical Research will contribute to the major gift and alumni relations program to support Penn Medicine’s world class biomedical research enterprise. The goal of Penn Medicine’s research program is to understand the fundamental mechanisms of disease and to translate this knowledge into medical therapies that will improve the lives of patients and families around the world.

Delivers system solutions involving advancement software systems, data visualization and query tools ATLAS, QlikView, Business Objects, SQL and other systems to users. Works with clients and other analysts to determine functional requirements. * Designs, codes, simulates, tests, implements and maintains reporting solutions and associated middleware, interfaces and databases in highly complex solutions. * Analyzes functional requirements and advises DAR users in the planning, selection, implementation and use of solutions to address business requirements.

The International Development office, within Development and Alumni Relations at the University of Pennsylvania is responsible for raising major and principal gifts from alumni, parents and friends residing overseas, while also managing two international foundations and two global volunteer committees. The office currently consists of an Assistant Director, a Managing Director, Senior Managing Director and a Senior Advisor. The Administrative Assistant serves as the primary administrative support for the office.
Job type: 
The Junior Data Analyst position is responsible for producing complex reports and data analysis tools based on multiple data sources to serve the business needs of the Development and Alumni Relations staff. A familiarity with database reporting structures and query tools is a requirement. A demonstrable familiarity with Advancement database systems or complex relational databases is strongly recommended. This position reports directly to the Director of Reports and Analytics. This is an early career programming position.
